A basic carpentry course is a good start on the way to being a master carpenter. If one canâ??t correctly tell what and how the job entails and where, no matter his adeptness at his tools, then the individual is as good as a warehouseman. One very important facet is the understanding of electrical layouts and symbols to avoid electrical hazards and accidents. Proper analysis of drawing scales and transferring them to the job site is as important as knowing what the types of lines and their weights mean. There are numerous types of lines used in drawings that signify that something else is either above, below, or hidden.
