Why do I get an "association failed" when I try to Hook my Palm Pre to my wireless router?

Shouldn't have trouble. Make sure you enter the right security ID. It is case sensitive. Try taking off the security or connecting to an open connection. Make sure the security setting are right on the Pre.

Forever now, men had to use wood for the necessities in life such as shelter and much more. The process of molding this wood for such things has changed due to the fact that woodworking machinery is now available. The basics of shaping the wood, sawing and cutting, and drilling have remained constant, however now the ease and speed of which it is done is quite different and progressed.

There are three pieces of machinery for woodworking that are the most essential. I'll go over those now. If you had to only stock your workshop with the most important components of machinery, what would they be? Here they are and the explanation of why you need them.

Last but not least is the jigsaw. For wood projects that aren't limited to flooring and moldings, a jig saw lets you craft all kinds of tinier, more meticulous projects. You can create decorations, toys, make carved signs and detailed fireplace mantels using a jig saw.

Of course there are lots of pieces of woodworking machinery and standard tools that serious wood workers must have. Often the beginning home improvement guy begins with just the tools necessary for the first project, and continues from there with subsequent projects. There's really no need to go overboard with a bunch of tools that you won't be using after all.

A good first project to start with is to install wood molding. Crown molding is not costly, and will get you started on making miter cuts. Another starter tool that you'll need for this sort of project is a good air compressor with a hydraulic finishing nailer attached. This will help with your molding wood molding job, especially when it comes to flooring.

Some tools are just timeless, and have been used for centuries and are still just as useful today. One example of that is the chisel. You can use this tool to shape the finest of masterpieces. Buying a set will definitely be a wise purchase in your woodworking leisure pursuit.

A combination of both the old and the new will create a workshop of woodworking tools and machinery that will do you well for years and years to come.

It seems everybody in the world knows a thing or two about basic carpentry. Or at least, the men do. For sure, these skills are rough, unrefined, and are limited to minor home repairs, replacements, nailing down noisy panels, and covering a hole or two. And the tools are rudimentary as well, from a hammer, to a plane, a chisel, a couple of nails, and down to a handsaw. Moreover, selection of materials is not given much thought and consideration. Further, safety is thrown out of the window like excess wood cuts. But there are carpentry schools that provide classes on the basics and the proper approach to the craft. Like other activities, there is a right way to carpentry.

Basic carpentry skills are needed to properly carry out home repairs, minor additions, renovations, and other projects. Trade schools that teach the basics of carpentering normally discuss about introductory courses such as the manual and power tools and how to use them, read and interpret drawings and symbols, how to mark and measure, executing small projects, basic principles, and practical carpentry skills. Tutorial videos and e-books are also available to the weekend carpenter. Joinery works are some of the basic skills. From the very simple glued joint, to the half joints, the angular mitred joints, the dovetail, mortise and tenon, and others. A mark of a good carpenter knows which joint to use on a particular project.

Carpentry is a complex undertaking that only professional carpenters can perform. Simple carpentry works that are mostly confined to drilling, nailing, and fixing need only the basic tools. One would only depend on simple manual hand and power tools. These tools are steel framing squares, tape measures, handy power nailers, some chisels, chalk line, an electric drill, retractable utility knife, extension cords for power tools, a ladder, power cutters, circular saw, hardware, accessories, and others. Safety goggles, hand gloves, and steel-capped boots cover the safety end. All these items for light construction can fit in carpenter kits and light trucks one can bring along in going to job sites.

Simple carpentry may be called light carpentry in that the size of the work can be managed by one or three people at most. And nearly all of these are related to carpentry jobs in homes, establishments, and interior works. They cover the work of constructing dry walls, fitting of door linings, cutting and fixing of architraves and skirting, dado rails, moldings, windows, kennels, play houses, and others. The proper handling of wood is basic at the same time very important to avoid wastage. Choosing the right kind of wood is also one of the basics. There are many types of wood, from soft to hardwood, that are chosen for work-specific purposes.

A basic carpentry course is a good start on the way to being a master carpenter. Probably the most practical and integral part of it is to accurately read and interpret architectural plans and schematic drawings and make functional multi-view sketches for actual execution. If one can't correctly tell what and how the job entails and where, no matter his adeptness at his tools, then the individual is as good as a warehouseman. One very important facet is the understanding of electrical layouts and symbols to avoid electrical hazards and accidents. Proper analysis of drawing scales and transferring them to the job site is as important as knowing what the types of lines and their weights mean. There are numerous types of lines used in drawings that signify that something else is either above, below, or hidden.

I wondered about this too a few years back and went in search of an answer. Here's what I found:

Spiders "spin" the first strand into the air to be carried by a breeze. The silk is so fine and lightweight it takes only a slight movement of air to carry it. They continue to "reel" out the silk until the beginning of it hits something and attaches itself - it's very sticky and attaches easily to whatever it hits. The spider is then able to walk across this one strand and begin spinning the rest of the web.

There are a number of different woodworking accessories for table saws that are worth considering. This is especially true if you are looking to take up woodworking as a hobby or something a little more serious. In this article we will look at a number of them.

1. Rip Fence

All table saws have a fence (guide) that runs from the front of the table (side nearest to the operator) to the back. It also runs parallel to the cutting plane of the blade. The distance that the blade is from the fence can be adjusted and this will determine where on the piece of wood the cut is made. It is referred to as a "rip fence" because of its use in guiding the wood during the process of making a rip out (cut). You will find that most saws come with a standard version but the more expensive table saws are available without a fence so you can then purchase one separately if you so wish.

2. Miter Gauge

A table saw will have one or two grooves which run from the front to the back and again are parallel to the cutting plane of the blade. These miter slots or grooves can be used to position and guide either a miter gauge or a crosscut sled. However a miter gauge is normally set to a 90-degree angle to the plane of the blade's cut. This will cause the cut made in the wood to be made at a right angle. However, the miter gauge can be adjusted in order that a cut can be made at a more precisely controlled angle if so wished.

3. Crosscut Sled

This is generally used to hold the wood at a fixed 90-degree angle to the saws blade. Which allows for precise repeatable cuts at the most commonly used angle to be made. A runner that is fastened under it and which slides into a miter slot normally guides it. Such devices are normally shop made or you can purchase one if necessary.

4. Tenon Jig

This accessory holds the wood vertically so that cuts can be made across the end and it allows the tenons to be formed. Again this can be shop made or purchased.

5. Stacked Dado

Generally table saws made for the US market are capable of using a stacked dado blade set. It has two outer blades and number of inner chip cutters that can be used to cut dados (grooves in wood) of any width (usually up to a maximum of 7/8").

So as you can see from above there are a wide variety of woodworking accessories for table saws available today. It really is up to you which ones you decide to include in your tool kit.
